Head above water,
slowly sinking deeper in my own depths,
the chill finally reaches my soul.
A spark flashes but ignition is stifled,
yet suddenly a flame bursts in view
since desire overcomes past flaws.
A fire warms my skin
and as time passes it will deepen
burning through me wildly.
Barriers are crashing
as each caress is like hot embers
slowly heating my cold silence.
Soon I will be free of restraints
and burdened only
by my constant want of your touch
that soothes my aches.
The problem with ice
is that it is too easy to shatter
so it’s perfect that I’ve found my flame.
